ADA 101 - Accessible Site Arrival Points

2010 ADAS 206.2.1
At least one accessible route shall be provided within the site from accessible parking spaces and accessible passenger loading zones, public streets and sidewalks, and public transportation stops to the accessible building or facility entrance they serve.
Citation according to 2010 ADAS. Check your state’s accessibility laws. Some states such as California, Georgia, and Florida have additional requirements and standards.

Pennsylvania Transit Authority Gets $56 Million In Fed Grants For Subway Accessibility

“Federal transit officials announced $686 million in new grants on Monday to make older transit and commuter rail stations accessible to people with disabilities, including $56 million for SEPTA to overhaul six subway-elevated stations. ‘SEPTA stations are gateways to opportunity but only if they are accessible,’ General Manager and CEO Leslie S. Richards said.”
